Helpful information before you start

These FAQs reflect guidance provided by our legal advisers and relate to how our competitions operate in practice. For full details, please read our Terms & Conditions and Website Terms of Use.

How do I enter the competition?

First, create an account on our website. Then choose a live competition on the competitions page.

To enter online:

  • Complete the on-site entry form.
  • Answer the skill-based competition question (if applicable), or follow thefree entry route instructions.
  • Purchase your entries and submit.

After checkout, you’ll be told whether your answer was correct (if a question applies). If correct, your name will be entered into the draw. If incorrect, it won’t be entered.

You’ll also receive an email confirming whether your answer was correct and if you were entered into the draw. Free postal entries do not receive email confirmations. For transparency, check our Entry Lists to confirm your entry allocation.

How will I know if I have won?

We will notify winners by phone or email within 7 days of the competition closing date. If your contact details change before the closing date, please update your account details.

If we cannot reach you within 14 days of the closing date, we reserve the right to select an alternative winner, as described in our Terms & Conditions.

How long is each competition open for?

Opening and closing dates are shown on each competition page. If we must change these dates for reasons beyond our control, we’ll update the website. We do not extend closing dates simply to sell more entries.

Can anyone enter the competition?

Our competitions are for adults aged 18+. Eligibility requirements are set out in our Terms & Conditions. Where we specify residency restrictions, these will be stated on the competition page and in our terms. Please check the eligibility section before entering.

What are the prizes?

Each competition prize is fully described on its page. Where a prize is unavailable, we may offer an alternative of equal or higher value, as set out in our Terms & Conditions.

Can I sell the prize if I don’t want it?

Yes. Once awarded, the prize is yours and you may sell it if you wish (subject to any applicable legal requirements for specific prize types).

How do you use my personal data?

We only use your data to administer competitions, manage your account, pay prizes, and meet our legal obligations. We do not share your data with third parties except where necessary to operate the competition securely.

For full details, please see our Privacy Policy. If you win, we may need to share limited information with bodies such as the Advertising Standards Authority to evidence a fair award of the prize.

If I win, do I have to participate in promotional exercises?

No. Participation in publicity is not compulsory, but with your permission we love to celebrate winners on our website and social channels. Even if you decline publicity, we may still be required to share limited winner details with the Advertising Standards Authority to prove the competition was fairly administered.

What happens if I get the question wrong?

Our competitions are skill-based. To comply with the law, questions must be a genuine test of knowledge or judgment. If your answer is incorrect, your entry will not be included in the draw and entry fees are not refunded. You can try again if the competition limit hasn’t been reached.

Can I try again?

Yes. You can enter as many times as you wish up to any per-person or total cap stated on the competition page. Please keep this fun and only spend what you can afford.

How is the winner decided?

For main draws, all correct entries are entered and the winner is chosen at random. We may also run instant win prizes tied to pre-determined ticket numbers, and we may use an auto-draw system to run the draw after the closing date or sell-out. See the draw method shown on each competition page and in our Terms & Conditions.

What are my chances of winning?

It depends on the maximum entries for the competition and how many entries you purchase. For example, if entries are capped at 3,000 and you buy 1 correct entry, your chance is no worse than 1 in 3,000. If 500 entrants answer incorrectly, the true odds improve for those with correct entries.

I haven’t received an email confirming whether I’m right or wrong.

Please check your spam/junk folder. If you still can’t find it, contact us at contact@rafflerays.co.uk. Free postal entries do not receive confirmations—please check the Entry Lists.

Can I get a refund of my entry fee?

No. Entry fees are non-refundable if your answer is incorrect or if you are disqualified for breaching the rules. Full details are in our Terms & Conditions.
