Terms & Conditions

2.1 These terms apply to all competitions listed on www.rafflerays.co.uk ("the Website").

2.2 The Promoter may operate multiple competitions at once, in various formats. Each competition will have a stated prize and entry requirements.

2.3 Where applicable, entrants ("Entrants") must correctly answer a skill-based question ("Competition Question") to be eligible. If the question is multiple-choice or absent, a free postal entry route will be available.

2.4 Instant Scratch Games - Some competitions may include instant scratch-style games to reveal ticket results. The "scratch" is for entertainment only - results are pre-determined by your ticket allocation and cannot be altered by gameplay.

3.1 Competitions run between the published opening and closing dates ("Opening Date" and "Closing Date"). All times are UK time.

3.2 Opening and closing dates are fixed and the draw will take place on the advertised schedule.

3.3 Entries received after the Closing Date will not be included and will not be refunded.

3.4 The maximum number of entries per competition will be stated on the Website.

3.5 Entrants may enter as many times as they wish until the cap is reached. Free postal entries must be submitted separately - bulk free entries in one envelope will be counted as a single entry.

3.6 To enter online:

• (a) Visit the Website and view the Competition Question (if applicable).
• (b) Complete the entry form.
• (c) Purchase the desired number of entries.
• (d) Submit your answer (if applicable).
• (e) Create an account - one per person only. Duplicate or false accounts may be closed.
• (f) Sign-up credit - founding members receiving £5 site credit must use the credited amount at least once before withdrawing any winnings from it. Multiple accounts to exploit this offer are forbidden, and funds gained may be voided with accounts suspended.

3.7 Entries must be in English.

3.8 Unless you use the free entry route, you'll receive email confirmation of entry.

3.9 The Promoter is not responsible for incomplete or failed entries, whatever the cause.

3.10 By submitting an entry, you enter into a binding agreement with the Promoter under these terms.

3.11 Free postal entry - To enter for free:

• (a) Send a first or second-class stamped entry to: RaffleRays Ltd, 5 South Charlotte Street, Edinburgh, Scotland, EH2 4AN.
• (b) Hand-delivered entries will not be accepted.
• (c) Include:
  • (i) Full name;
  • (ii) Postal address;
  • (iii) Date of birth;
  • (iv) Contact phone number and email;
  • (v) Your answer to the Competition Question (if applicable).
  • (vi) The name of the competition you wish to enter.
• (d) Each entry must be posted separately. Bulk entries count as one.
• (e) Old-style non-barcoded stamps are not valid.
• (f) Entries must arrive before the Closing Date. Proof of posting is not proof of entry.
• (g) No acknowledgement will be given for free entries.
• (h) If the competition sells out before your entry arrives, it will not be included.

3.12 Low-cost games - Where the paid entry price is less than the cost of a second-class stamp, we will provide an alternative free entry method as detailed on our Free Entry page rather than multiplying postal entries.

3.13 Fair play - Holding large numbers of tickets in your cart to monitor instant win outcomes or block other buyers is prohibited. Breaches may result in ticket cancellation, forfeited prizes, and account suspension.

3.14 Payment card policy - Tickets must be purchased using a payment method in the account holder's name. Purchases on another person's behalf are prohibited.

4.1 Draw Process - On the date specified for each competition, we will use a third-party random number generator tool to select from the ticket IDs purchased and entered into the competition draw. The selection process uses an independent random number generator to ensure complete fairness and transparency.

4.2 Winners will be selected by one of the following methods:

• (a) Main draw - using third-party random number generator from all eligible entries.
• (b) Instant wins - linked to pre-determined ticket numbers.
• (c) Auto-draw - automated system runs the draw using independent random selection after the Closing Date or sell-out.

4.3 Each competition has a set draw date that is clearly displayed on the competition page. Draw dates are fixed and will be honored as advertised.

4.4 Winner contact - The Promoter will attempt contact using the details provided. If a winner cannot be reached within 7 days, the prize may be awarded to another eligible entrant.

4.5 Previous winners are advertised on our website. Winners may be featured in our winners gallery and promotional materials (with consent). This ensures complete transparency in our competition operations.

4.6 Entry lists (names and ticket numbers) may be published on the Website or social media. Opt-out by emailing contact@rafflerays.co.uk at least 48 hours before the draw.

5.1 Open only to residents of the United Kingdom (including Northern Ireland) aged 18 years or over at the time of entry. Employees, agents, and immediate family of the Promoter cannot enter.

5.2 Our competitions are open to UK residents 18+. Where we offer a chance-based format, we provide a free entry route available UK-wide. For skill-only formats without a free route, Northern Ireland residents may be excluded from that promotion; please check each page.

5.3 Proof of eligibility may be requested, including photo ID.

5.4 Automated or incomplete entries are void.

5.5 Misconduct, abusive behaviour, or actions against the spirit of the competition may result in disqualification.

5.6 No refunds or credits are given for ineligible or disqualified entries. All competition entries are final and non-refundable. No credits or refunds will be provided once a ticket has been purchased.

6.1 Prize details are shown on the Website.

6.2 The prize remains the property of the Promoter until handover is complete. Unless otherwise agreed, physical prizes must be collected from the Promoter's address.

6.3 If a prize is unavailable, the Promoter may offer a cash alternative or prize of equal/greater value.

6.4 The draw will take place on the advertised draw date. The prize described on the competition page will be awarded.

6.6 The Promoter is not liable for any costs associated with prize collection unless stated.

6.7 For travel or experience prizes, the Promoter is not responsible for cancellations or disruptions caused by events outside its control (including weather, pandemics, strikes, or political unrest).

7.1 Prizes must be claimed personally. Third-party collection is not permitted.

7.2 Cash prizes are paid via bank transfer to the winner's own account.

7.3 The Promoter is not responsible if you cannot take up your prize.

8.1 The Promoter accepts no liability for loss, damage, or injury related to the prize except where caused by its own negligence.

8.2 The Promoter is not responsible for delays, cancellations, or failures of third-party suppliers.

8.3 Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

9.1 Personal data is handled in line with the Promoter's Privacy Policy.

9.2 Data may be used to prevent fraud, money laundering, or other illegal activity.

9.3 Winners may be asked to provide a testimonial or participate in promotional material, but only with their consent.

10.1 RaffleRays will take reasonable steps to verify the identity of players where necessary.

10.2 Anonymous or duplicate accounts will not be accepted.

10.3 Payments of winnings will, where possible, be returned to the same source of original funds.

10.4 The Promoter may report suspicious activity to relevant authorities.

11.1 The Promoter may amend these terms at any time. Updates will be posted on the Website.

11.2 Breaching these terms may result in exclusion from current and future competitions.

11.3 Competitions are not sponsored or endorsed by Facebook.

11.4 These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. You may bring legal proceedings in the Scottish courts or in the UK jurisdiction where you live if consumer law permits it.

11.5 Players must be 18+. If a winner is underage, the prize will be redrawn.
